About World Climate Forum

World Climate Forum 2020 Series are regional platforms with a wider objective to link markets and policies, motivating a green economic recovery, climate action, and building momentum in 2020 towards World Climate Summit and COP26. The Forums will be hosted digitally with strategic stakeholder engagement opportunities before, during and after the Forums take place. Each Forum will have regionally-based agendas and outcomes, with an overall international focus on critical climate issues and promoting a global green economic recovery, culminating at World Climate Summit in 2021 alongside COP26.

Initiated by World Climate Foundation, the Forums build on the ten-year success of World Climate Summit—the leading platform for driving policies, projects, and public-private partnerships alongside the COP negotiations. By expanding on World Climate Summit’s proven approach and focusing on regional and international climate action opportunities, the Forums will accelerate the realisation of solutions across energy, transport, finance, heavy industry (hard to abate), and natural resource management.
